Beach Safety
It’s great fun at the beach, but do you know how to keep safe?
Every summer, lifeguards respond to thousands of incidents on UK beaches. To stay safe at the seaside, be informed about the dangers and follow these simple tips.
- Read the signs and know which flags mean it is safe to swim in the sea
- Steer clear of the currents; these are areas of fast moving water which are hard to spot. They can be very powerful and drag you out to sea so only swim between the red and yellow flags.
- Watch out for waves, it’s great fun to paddle or jump over them but they can be dangerous and drag you into the sea.
- Watch the water and keep an eye on the tides, especially if you are looking in rock pools – don’t get cut off by the sea!
BOOKING POLICY
No contract shall exist until confirmation and a non-returnable deposit of £150 per week has been received. The total is payable 6 weeks prior to arrival. Provisional booking can be made by telephone or e-mail but must be honoured with a deposit within 5 days.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Prior to six weeks before arrival date the non returnable deposit of £150 per week will be forfeit. No other payment will be required. Cancellation less than six weeks before arrival date, the full amount will be forfeit.
